About Me

Growing up in Texas during the 1990’s…

I was extremely fortunate to be in a community with incredibly successful music programs. I was always surrounded by mentors and master teachers who inspired me to work hard and lead others to do the same. This continued throughout my time at the University of Houston and as a member of the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps.

As a music educator for over 15 years, I have found that my greatest joy comes from giving back to Band programs all that I have received from my mentors, colleagues and friends.

My teaching experience includes a diverse array of programs…

including the rebuilding and growth of the Marching and Concert Bands to National acclaim at Ronald Reagan HS (San Antonio), starting a new program at Rick Reedy HS (Frisco), and serving as an administrator & teacher at Lake Highlands HS (Richardson), a beautifully diverse Title 1 campus and cluster in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.

I have also spent many years involved in drum corps as a Brass Staff member of The Cavaliers, Assistant Visual Caption manager of the Santa Clara Vanguard , DCI music judge, and was most recently the Ensemble Coordinator for the Madison Scouts.

I’m proud to adjudicate for both Bands of America and Winter Guard International in addition to multiple Indoor Percussion/Winds circuits throughout the United States.

Outside of teaching and judging, I am also a Leadership Facilitator for SASi, the Leadership People where I have been able to work with some of the best teachers and students in the country!

SASi, the Leadership People is a great team of quality educators who provide positive experiences for student leaders throughout the country.

I’m proud to serve our community not only as an educator, but also as a Marching Band Program Coordinator, Adjudicator and Clinician.
